Charity Connect (AI-Powered Donation Platform)

Charity Connect is an intelligent web-based platform designed to make charitable giving easier, safer, and more transparent. The system connects donors with individuals who genuinely need support, providing a reliable and user-friendly donation experience. Developed using the MERN stack, the platform allows donors to explore verified stories from beneficiaries and contribute through secure payment options such as Stripe, PayPal, and Credit Card. It integrates Artificial Intelligence (AI) to improve accessibility, using automated story summarization via OpenRouter AI to help donors quickly understand each case, and an AI chatbot to guide users through the donation process. To ensure full transparency and trust, the project also uses Blockchain technology to record donation details on the Polygon Amoy test network, creating an unchangeable and verifiable ledger of all contributions. The platform features three main dashboards: the Admin Dashboard for managing story verification, tracking donations, and monitoring system activity; the Donor Dashboard for managing user profiles, viewing donation history, and checking the impact of contributions; and the Needy Dashboard for individuals in need to create, share stories and track the status of their requests. Overall, Charity Connect combines AI intelligence, blockchain transparency, and modern web technology to build a smoother, fairer, and more trustworthy digital donation process.
